Follow your joy.

What brings you joy? Is it the time you spend writing each night before bed? Maybe it’s the people you connect with at your job? Or a particular subject in school that stirs something inside of you? And what causes you to grieve? Think about the differences between these feelings. Listen to these emotions that brew deep within your spirit because these are the guiding lights that allow you to walk into your calling and purpose. Then, a choice must be made. You must decide whether you are going to continue to allow your body to grieve and experience the stress of walking down a path that may not align with what you were designed to do OR continue on in the aspects of your life that brings you joy because that path will ultimately lead to happiness.

The joy we feel has little to do with the circumstances of our lives and everything to do with the focus of our lives.”

What do you focus on the most in your life? Your job? Family? Religion? Hobbies? The focus of your life is also incredibly important to finding the peace and serenity to get through this life. The biggest thing is…whatever you do, follow your joy. It’s critical to your future. The combination of following your joy and having a focus in your life adds incredible direction to your life in a way that wandering doesn’t quite fulfill. It makes every day purposeful and this is key.

It’s not an accident that musicians become musicians and engineers become engineers: it’s what they’re born to do. If you can tune into your purpose and really align with it, setting goals so that your vision is an expression of that purpose, then life flows much more easily.”

Find the place you fit best. The place where your passion meets your joy and ultimately equates to your purpose. Suddenly, when purpose is found and known, there is a shift in life. There is a movement towards hope that whatever obstacles you are facing is worth it and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel that’s within your grasp. Follow your joy. Focus on this aspect of your life in order to find the place you fit best. You have a purpose. You are so valuable and you matter more than you could ever imagine.
